Pakistani opening pair Over the years, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have routinely produced runs for the team. The opening record has been broken by the duo on several occasions, and they broke it again on Thursday. They now have the record for most 50-run opening partnerships for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, held by Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle. At the Oval, Babar and Rizwan put on a 59-run stand against England. With that, they have surpassed the record held by Kohli and Gayle, who have accomplished the feat 23 times, by crossing 50 runs for the first wicket 24 times as a partnership. Moreover, Babar is now just behind Kohli as the only Pakistani player to surpass the 4,000 run milestone.
